Bachelor’s (Czech-taught)

FIS offers various bachelor degrees within the following two areas/study programmes:

 

Programme duration

3 full-time years (6 semesters)
classes are usually held on working days – Monday to Friday – and on weekly basis; regular attendance is expected from students)

Total workload (credits)

180 ECTS (ca 30 ECTS / semester; 1 ECTS = ca 26 hours of students’ activity: attending classes, studying at home, preparing assignments, etc.)

Degree/ Academic Title

According to the Czech legislation, the academic title awarded to graduates of bachelor programmes in non-artistic fields of study is Bc. (bakalář). The title is accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education and is internationally recognizable.

Minimum admission requirements

 

Please note that international candidates for studies (except for nationals of Slovakia) have to pass a Czech language exam as part of the admission process (more information – in Czech).
Czech language preparatory courses are available at VŠE being organized by the Department of Slavonic Languages (more information).

All applicants are required to produce a secondary education leaving certificate.

If you have completed your secondary education abroad, you are also expected to provide a certificate of its academic recognition by a Czech recognition authority (the Czech name of the document is nostrifikační doložka).
