How to apply

  1. Complete the online application form, pay the application fee

  2. Upload a scan of your passport or ID

  3. Submit a CV on a given template

  4. Add study documents  –  (ask for Assessment of previous education)

  5. Pass the online test –  General Academic Prerequisites (GAP)


Detailed information

The application period for 2027/2028 (start of studies in September 2027):

  • Round I – 1st November 2026 – 28th February 2027   (recommended for Visa-required students)
  • Round II – 1st March – 30th  April 2027 (recommended for EU students or students already living in Czechia)

To finish the application, students have to pay the application fee  in amount of 100 EUR. Instructions for payment will be available to you in the e-application system once you have started your e-application.

Applicants can take the admission exam for the academic year 2027/2028 only once, either within the application round I or II. 

Admission to all bachelor study programmes taught in English at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics is based on the results of the General Academic Prerequisites (GAP) test organized by SCIO (online test).

Applicants must follow these steps:

  1. Complete your application to FIS, pay the application fee.
  2. You must register for the test independently via the SCIO website.
  3. Give consent to share your results, in your SCIO profile, you must enable consent for your test results to be shared with the Faculty. You do not submit your GAP test results to the Faculty. Results are transferred automatically by SCIO.

Dates for the admission exams:

  • Round I (February 28) – 20 February or 20 March 2027
  • Round II (April 30)– 24 April ot 22 May 2027
The application fee includes one GAP test attempt. You will receive a voucher generated by SCIO. Each applicant may take the GAP test only once.

Students, who need for purpose of studying in Prague Visa, have to submit the Visa application immediately as they receive the result from the admission exam.

Online enrollment to studies – June 2027
The tuition fee for the first semester (3,000 EUR) has to be done before 1st September 2027
