Visa
Students, who are citizens from other countries than EU, have to apply for Visa for their stay in the Czech Republic.
There are two types of Visa, both will allow you to study in Czechia, issuing of Visa takes usually 60 days after submission of the Visa application:
- Long-term Visa for the study purpose (less administrative obligations after coming to Czechia)
- Long-term residence permit for the study purpose (is connected with the obligation of issuing of a biometric card after arrival to Czechia; recommended, if you plan to work during studies)
In general, the following documents are required when applying for a visa::

- travel document,
- application form, application fee,
- letter of acceptance to studies (will be issued by VŠE),
- proof of accommodation (can be issued by VŠE),
- proof of finance (a translation into Czech may be requested),
- penal register record (Apostilled, official translated to Czech language).
How to get an appointment at the Czech Embassy?
- Contact the local Czech Embassy or Consulate
- Students from the following countries may be nominated for the Student Visa Mode (student facilitation, fast-track visa interview, “režim student”). However, we can only nominate students who have already obtained assesment of their previous degree and completed their prior studies less than three years ago.
