Ask me Alisha

Hi! I’m Alisha, and I’m originally from a small city in Kazakhstan. I’ve always enjoyed math, but it wasn’t until one of my statistics courses during my Bachelor’s at VŠE that I realized how much I actually like working with data. That is what eventually led me to the EDA program.
I’ve been living in Prague for 4 years now and did my bachelor’s degree at VŠE as well, so the university feels very familiar and comforting to me. Over the years, I’ve met great teachers and classmates who make studying here genuinely enjoyable.
Outside of academics, I’m quite an active person — I love sports, hiking, and finding new vegan places to explore. Staying active keeps me sane, especially during busy semesters.
What I appreciate about the FIS is how much effort they put into creating a friendly environment. They organize events, help students connect, and really want to see everyone succeed. If you’re curious about EDA, the faculty, living in dormitories or studying in Prague, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to share my experience!
