Ask me Anh Duong

Hey guys! My name is Anh Duong. I was born and raised in Vietnam until the age of 14, when my parents made a drastic turn and decided to reside permanently in the Czech Republic. I must say I’m grateful for being able to move to a new country and get exposed to a different culture at such a young age. I suppose that sudden life-changing decision my parents made has undoubtedly affected me in many ways. That’s also the reason why I’m quite spontaneous when it comes to making critical choices.
At the moment, I’m a VŠE student majoring in Economic Data Science. Although I never thought of opting for a career in data analysis, this was the only programme I applied for when choosing university. I can’t stress enough how glad I was to be accepted into this school. VŠE has always been ranked among the top business schools in Central Europe, and it lives up to its reputation.
To be honest, I was quite clueless when searching for study programmes as I didn’t know my passion or have a dream job I wanted to pursue. I’m sure a lot of you are in the same position as I was. We feel lost, scared and overwhelmed. But it’s quite alright! Going to university is a huge shift and it marks one of the most important milestones in our lives – we are officially adults and it’s time for us to write our own stories.
So, if you’ve got questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. I may not know it all, but I’m happy to help and guide you through the process of finding your own answers.
