Hi! My name is Sophia. I come from Czechia’s bordering country, Slovakia, however, I grew up in a Hungarian household.
I am a newly admitted member of the ambassador team, representing a brand-new bachelor’s course in VŠE called Economic Data Science. I chose this program due to its combination of fundamental subjects in the modern world; Economics and Finance, Data Analysis using different programming languages, Mathematics and many more fields, that elevate your critical thinking to the next level.
My advice before applying, to our university or anywhere else, is to not be hesitant to try new things because of a course you don’t favour, or a skill you don’t think you can acquire. I, too, have made the same bold assumptions about myself and thankfully, have been proven wrong during the first semester already. I can guarantee, that with the help of the professors at VŠE and the vast community of students, who are in the same shoes as you, you can truly learn anything you put your mind to!
