⇒Spa Trip in Poděbrady

The Czech Republic offers a wide range of spa towns, most famously Karlovy Vary and Mariánské Lázně, but also Poděbrady. Poděbrady is a small but beautiful, peaceful, and quaint town located only about one hour from Prague and easily accessible by train. I recently visited and wanted to share some thoughts about my experience there.
The Town
Poděbrady is a calm and charming town known for its spa culture, quiet streets, scenic walks, and cozy cafés. Visitors have plenty of food options, including traditional Czech pubs, Italian restaurants and pizzerias, kebab spots (of course), and welcoming cafés.
⇒What it feels like to rewrite your life in real time

Have you ever been in a spot where you feel stuck, but you can’t really explain why? On paper, everything is fine, but staying still somehow feels like a bigger risk. That’s exactly how I felt before I left my job, my friends, my family, and my country, and decided to become a student again in a completely different place.
Back home, I was working, learning constantly, was a part of a large cloud transformation project, and I was good at my job.
I had close friends, lived near my family and cats, had my apartment, my comfort. From the outside, everything looked stable and logical, it felt like things were moving in the “right” direction.
⇒Guide for a long weekend in Poland

Lectures were ending and the exam period was about to start, when my roommate Filippo introduced me to his new friend group made at our university; that weekend we would be both invited and hosted in Poland, by a girl named Hania.
Our trip started from Prague Černý Most, with a FlixBus to Liberec. In Liberec, me and my friends, took a train to Černousy (which is the closest Czech village to the Polish border). There, waiting for us, was her mom. It was a short distance trip by car to arrive to the hometown of the polish friend that was hosting us, Sulików.
⇒Preparing for the Upcoming Semester

As tempting as it is to close your opened tabs and finally be freed of academic thoughts after your last exams this month, getting a little head start on the summer semester may make or break your experience of it.
We all mention being a bit more organised in our New Year’s resolutions, or include a picture of a colour-coded journal in our “2026 Vision Boards” (I see you!!). Other than these ever-so repetitive “tricks”, I will try to share what has worked for me over the years, from high-school to uni. I will break it down into 3 main steps, so you can work through it bit-by-bit.
⇒Guide for a long weekend in Zagreb, Croatia

How did I get there?
One of the best parts of studying at our university is how international Prague is. You can meet people from all over the world, often in unexpected ways. In my first weeks here, my American roommate and I were hopping between pubs around the city, a great way to meet new friends, especially Czech ones. One particular night we met a group of people who later became our friends. One of them, that I met by chance that night out, invited me to Zagreb and offered to host me.
⇒From Target to the Market… and Beyond TEDx VSE

I never imagined that one day I would attend a TED Conference. It always felt like something far away – something you only watch on YouTube, not something you sit and experience in real life. But last Tuesday, thanks to Prague University of Economics and Business, I had the chance to be part of the first ever TEDxVSE — and it was truly unforgettable.
For six hours, I sat in the audience and listened to voices that felt bigger than life. Each speaker brought stories, emotions, and ideas that will stay for a long time with me and which are trully matter:
• the painful reality of conflicts between nations
• the strength and challenges of women at work
• courage, identity, and the power of choosing your own path
• building a coffee business from scratch – and how to not get crazy
• leadership and responsibility
• and the universal struggle every student knows too well: writing a thesis.
