Student of EDA Program Was Awarded Professor Miroslav Vlček Scholarship

The first VŠE student was awarded the Professor Miroslav Vlček scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to a foreign student enrolled in international degree programme who, in addition to fulfilling his/her study duties, has contributed to promotion of VŠE and the Czech Republic internationally and who has shown interest and active involvement in research, educational or other activities.

For the year 2021, the scholarship has been awarded to Ahmad Arsalan Khateeb, student of Economic Data Analysis (EDA) programme at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics (FIS). Besides Arsalan’s excellent study performance, he is a member of the FIS ambassadors’ team (ASK STUDENTS group), has helped to organize webinars for prospective students and has promoted studies at VŠE at the virtual Open House Days.

Scholarship also received other four students from Prague universities – Charles University, Czech Technical University in Prague, University of Chemistry and Technology Prague and Czech University of Life Sciences Prague.

The scholarship was ceremonially presented at a joint event of the Study in Prague project consortium on December 3, 2021 in the Residence of the Mayor of the Capital City of Prague.
