👉Who are our FIS Student Ambassadors?
📣Meet Tommaso, a first-year student in the Bachelor’s program Economic Data Science (EDS).
Curious about the EDS program or planning your move to Czechia? 🪄Tommaso is here to help!
Check out his profile and feel free to reach out with your questions.
📩 Get in touch and make your student journey easier!
🖊️Hello, my name is Tommaso and I come from Italy.
I’ve always been a curious person, passionate about traveling and reading, because they both lead to a deeper understanding of the world surrounding us. I’m thrilled now to be a student and an ambassador for the Economic Data Science course, to me this represents both an opportunity and challenge.
I chose this modern tech program because I believe data is at the heart of understanding how the world is changing and where it is heading.
I want to stay at the crest of technological progress understanding emerging technologies and the new chapter of history that is being written through them. Ultimately I chose this program to be at the forefront of this change.
While I’m excited to learn more about my program, I also truly want to help international students feel welcomed and supported. Feel free to reach out to me for anything regarding the course, life in Prague or just to say “Hi”. I’m fluent in English and Italian is my native language, additionally I can also speak in Spanish.

‼️From Target to the Market… and Beyond TEDx VSE ‼️
🖊I never imagined that one day I would attend a TED Conference. It always felt like something far away – something you only watch on YouTube, not something you sit and experience in real life.
But last Tuesday, thanks to Prague University of Economics and Business, I had the chance to be part of the first ever TEDxVSE — and it was truly unforgettable.
For six hours, I sat in the audience and listened to voices that felt bigger than life. Each speaker brought stories, emotions, and ideas that will stay for a long time with me and which are trully matter:
• 🌍 the painful reality of conflicts between nations
• 👩🏻💼 the strength and challenges of women at work
• 💪🏻 courage, identity, and the power of choosing your own path
• ☕️ building a coffee business from scratch – and how to not get crazy
• 💡 leadership and responsibility
• 🎓 and the universal struggle every student knows too well: writing a thesis.
Some stories made me laugh, others made me think about some aspects, and a few even gave me chills. What touched me the most was how honest and human every speaker was. They didn’t pretend to be perfect. They shared fears, mistakes, and moments of doubt – and that is what made their messages so powerful.

📣 Meet Our FIS Student Ambassadors!
✨ Say hello to Adil, one of our newest ambassadors!
He’s currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Economic Data Analysis and is happy to answer your questions about studying at VŠE.
💬 Got questions about student life at FIS? Drop them in the comments!
🖊Hi! My name is Adil, and I’m originally from Kazakhstan. It has already been five wonderful years since I moved to the beautiful Czech Republic. Today, I feel that choosing Prague as the foundation of my education and adult life wasn’t just a decision – it became a lifestyle. And it’s a lifestyle I truly enjoy.
After finishing my bachelor’s degree, I took some time to think about what I wanted for my future — both personally and professionally. The answer didn’t come immediately. It came during a workshop at my workplace, where I met our Data Analyst who always helped us with the most complex tasks. That moment inspired me deeply, and it was then that I decided to follow the path of analytics. After carefully researching universities in Prague, my choice naturally led me to the Prague University of Economics and Business. It offers exactly the kind of valuable and essential knowledge in IT and analytics that I was searching for.
Now, I’m a first-year student of the Master’s programme Economic Data Analysis (EDA) with the Data Analysis and Modelling (DAM) minor — and I’m excited to explore this new dimension. But I don’t want to explore it alone. I also want to support future applicants and students on their journey in Prague and at VŠE. That’s why I became a FIS Ambassador — to help anyone who has questions about moving to Prague, living here, studying EDA, or navigating FIS overall. For me, connection is what truly matters. It helps us build bridges and feel at home.
If you have any questions, or if you’re simply curious, feel free to reach out. I’ll be happy to help. I hope to see you at our faculty next year!😉
