VŠE International Week 2023

The VŠE  International Week 2023 just finished, already for the 7th time. Together with the Faculty of Finance and Accounting and the Faculty of International Relations we invited seven visiting professors from different countries and partner universities. Classes were held from January 16 to 18, 2023. The event program finished on Thursday with a discussion with the visiting professors on the wide topic of I-WEEK.

The International Week courses differ from the traditional teaching mainly in form. Students of the Prague University of Economics and Business can register for one of the short intensive courses for 3 ECTS credits. The students themselves appreciate this format, as it gives them the opportunity to earn credits in a more relaxed period when standard classes are not in session, to learn interesting information about their chosen topic, and to practice their English.

This year’s event took place after two “online” years in a present format, so we were very much looking forward to this event. Due to the twice declared evacuation situation in the Žižkov building, some students also had an illustration into the issues they had just discussed in the course. We hope that neither Covid-19 nor the evacuation of the VSE building won‘t disrupt our I-WEEK and will be held again and again every year.

We are very much looking forward to the next edition of I-WEEK, which will take place in January 2024, with course enrollment opening at the beginning of the 2023/2024 academic year.
