At its meeting on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics (FIS) elected Doc. Ing. Ota Novotný, Ph.D., as its candidate for the Dean of FIS. He was elected by a vote of 11–6–0. Other nominees were Prof. RNDr. Ing. Michal Černý, Ph.D., and Ing. Karel Helman, Ph.D.
